A recent TV show, entitled Descendants of the Sun, is about a town that has been plagued by the return of a giant evil, but it isn’t your run-of-the-mill evil. The difference is the real life events and the lives of the people in the town.
As the evil becomes more apparent, the town itself becomes more of a puzzle and the supernatural factor becomes even more frightening. It is difficult to see how this series can actually work as it has started to deteriorate and may even be canceled.

It is a scary story with a lot of hidden secrets, but you never get to find out what the history behind the town or the darkness of the family, or even the dark past of the town itself. By the end of the show, you have no idea what actually happened to those that were living in the town, and their families.
Also, most of the people are never shown to have actual vampires in their family. That would make the relationship between the descendents and their families much more real. No matter how much you want the real story to remain untold, you have to admit that the show has done its job.
